KAMLOOPS, BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA, August 13, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Author David J. Dogterom brings interactive rhyming adventures and hidden letter games to young readers in My Friends in the Alphabet Zoo.
June 12, 2026 – Early learning is getting a wild, rhyming makeover this summer! Author David Dogterom is thrilled to announce the release of his charming new children’s book, My Friends in the Alphabet Zoo.
Written with love, humor, and a playful rhythm, My Friends in the Alphabet Zoo transforms the classic A-to-Z lesson into a vibrant journey through a world of delightful animal companions. Young readers will love meeting characters like Ally the Alligator, Bradley the Buffalo, and Daniel the Donkey as they explore every letter of the alphabet.
Designed for preschoolers, early readers, parents, and educators, each page pairs a playful rhyme with interactive activities, inviting kids to search for hidden letters, spot hidden objects, and sharpen their observation skills. It is an engaging book that naturally builds vocabulary, letter recognition, and early problem-solving skills while sparking creativity.
The backstory of My Friends in the Alphabet Zoo is as heartening as the book itself. Raised on a farm east of Lethbridge, Alberta, David was encouraged by a high school English teacher to ‘write everything and anything.’ Decades later, while living in London, Ontario in 1990, he wrote a series of Christmas stories and the original rhymes for this alphabet zoo. Lost for over thirty years, the manuscript was magically rediscovered in January 2026, prompting David to finally bring the animal friends to life with illustrations and publication.
